2018 Professional Development Scholarship Recipients announced
The RFSA would like to congratulate the 2018 Professional Development Scholarship recipients. Scholarships were awarded at a ceremony on Saturday, 17 November 2018.
As part of the Association’s ongoing support for the state’s rural fire fighters, the RFSA provides annual scholarships for members who are considered to be outstanding representatives of both the NSW RFS and RFSA. The purpose of these scholarships is to:
• Enhance the professional and personal development of Members;
• Improve career development; and
• Promote a high level of professional service to the community.
A total of 13 scholarships were awarded for tertiary study in areas including Certificate IV Training & Assessment, a Diploma of Leadership and Management and a Diploma of Public Safety (Firefighting Management).
2018 President’s Scholarship Recipients:
• Terry Burns – Peninsula RFB in Division 4 – Certificate IV Training & Assessment.
• Valentina Fabian – Bathurst RFB in Division 8 – Certificate IV Training & Assessment (Language, Literacy & Numeracy modules).
• Stephanie Florentine – North Casino RFB in Division 1 – Certificate IV Training & Assessment.
• Scott Hoy – Perthville Georges Plains in Division 8 – Certificate IV Training & Assessment.
• Gaibrielle Manning – Forbes Central RFB in Division 11 – Diploma in Leadership & Management.
• Patsy Marshall – Cowan RFB in Division 4 – Certificate IV Training & Assessment.
• Paul Muir – Coleambally RFB in Division 16 – Advanced Diploma in Business.
• Mark Mulheron – Nyngan HQ RFB in Division 15 – Certificate IV Training & Assessment.
• George Nicholls – Bathurst RFB in Division 8 – Certificate IV Training & Assessment.
• John Osmond – Albury City FCC in Division 13 – Diploma in Public Safety (Firefighting Management).
• Justin Savidge – Raglan RFB in Division 8 – Certificate IV Training & Assessment.
• Roslyn Turton – Cobar HQ RFB in Division 16 – Diploma in Public Safety (Emergency Management).
