RFSA THANKS VOLUNTEERS DURING NATIONAL VOLUNTEER WEEK
The RFSA extends sincere thanks to all Rural Fire Service Volunteers during National Volunteer Week.
“This week (May 14 – May 20, 2012) is National Volunteer Week” advised Brain McKinlay, RFSA President.
“The RFSA would like to take this opportunity to express thanks to the 70,000 plus volunteers who are an integral part of the NSW Rural Fire Service.
“Thank you for donating your time, energy and commitment. You all make a most important contribution to help protect the community.
“Again – thank you.”
National Volunteer Week (NVW) is the largest celebration of volunteers and volunteerism in Australia, and provides an opportunity to highlight the role of volunteers in our communities.
Australian volunteers contribute more than 700 million hours of community service to many areas of society. National Volunteer Week provides a platform to pay tribute to all volunteers.
