Vale Gary Barton

Tuesday, 15 June 2021

It is with great sadness that we share news of the passing of Gary Barton. A distinguished member of the RFSA State Council, Gary advocated with passion on behalf of fellow members and was the driving force behind the RFSA’s successful campaign for 40km speed limits around emergency vehicles.

In recognition of his long-time service, Gary was last week awarded the inaugural President’s Award for Outstanding Service to the RFSA. A proud member of the NSW RFS and RFSA, Gary will be remembered fondly by friends and colleagues for his warmth, character, good humour and tireless dedication to enriching the lives of others.
