NSW RFS Open Day
NSW Rural Fire Service (NaSW RFS) volunteers from across the State will throw open the doors to their local brigade stations on Saturday 13 September, for the annual NSW RFS Open Day.
It’s a great opportunity for residents to get to know the local volunteers who protect their community all year round and to understand the bush fire risk in their area and what they can do to better prepare themselves for the bush fire season.
Open Day is a family friendly day with something for everyone. It’s a chance for residents to learn valuable skills on how to protect themselves and their family from bush and grass fires and to discover more about the diverse range of roles volunteers play at all types of emergencies.
All local residents are encouraged to go along on Saturday 13 September and join in the fun, and thank NSW RFS volunteers for the work they do.
A small number of brigades are holding their local Open Days on alternative dates. A map of participating brigades, dates and locations is available on the NSW RFS website www.rfs.nsw.gov.au.
