Introducing Spirit of Us
Volunteering is not for power or profit, but an ethos and way of life that our members embody. A new RFSA initiative aims to harness this ethos through a new brand.
Spirit of Us is a community-focused lifestyle brand that celebrates and supports the spirit of ‘Doing for Others’ through the sale of apparel and lifestyle products to the general public. All proceeds go to the RFSA, to help support programs for members to enhance their service to the NSW RFS.
“Adding a lifestyle range to our traditional fundraising mix makes a lot of sense,” RFSA President Scott Campbell said.
“We’re proud of the grants and other programs that we provide to brigades and volunteer firefighters across the state, and we can expand our support with the community as our partner.”
The initial product launch is a range of t-shirts and caps that feature statements of intent and belief in the power of people to benefit society.
Supporting local creators and manufacturers is also central to the approach, with all Spirit of Us T-shirts manufactured in Australia. Not only is the manufacturing local, but so are the models, with thanks going to the RFSA members who volunteered to be photographed for the launch.
As shown by the 2019/20 bushfires, rural firefighters inspire support worldwide, and people across the globe can now show their support through the Spirit of Us.
