2020 Professional Development Scholarships Presented
One of the key support programs offered by the RFSA is its annual Professional Development Scholarships.
The purpose of these scholarships is to:
- Enhance the professional and personal development of members;
- Improve career development and;
- Promote a high level of professional service to the community.
There are two scholarship categories:
President’s Scholarship – awarded to either (or both) volunteer and staff members.
Chris Lord Memorial Scholarship – awarded to the most suitable volunteer applicant.
In total nine scholarships were awarded this year. The recipients and their course of study are:
Chris Lord Memorial Scholarship
- Andrew Macdonald – Company Directors course conducted by the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
President’s Scholarship
- Christopher Batten – Bachelor of Emergency Management
- Aaron Bayliss – Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Shaleigh Bitmead – Advanced Diploma of Public Safety (Emergency Management)
- James Garland – Diploma in Leadership and Management
- Tiffani King – Bachelor of Emergency Management
- Chris Mallia – Bachelor of Emergency Management
- Alexandra Stewart – Advanced Diploma of Public Safety (Emergency Management)
- Charles Wilkinson – Planning for Bushfire Prone Areas Course
