CONFERENCES & COURSES
With the support and organisation of and sponsorship of various Conferences and Courses, RFSA members have the opportunity to enhance their personal development. This is yet another example of how the RFSA provides opportunities to its members to build their future.
AFAC 2010
The 17th Annual Australian Fire & Emergency Service Authorities Council (AFAC) Conference incorporating the Bushfire CRC Conference will be held at the Darwin Convention Centre, Northern Territory from 8-10 September 2010. The theme is "Same, Same, but Different – Learning lessons in a changing world”.
In addition to the four RFSA Executive members (David Hoadley, Alan Holley, Peter Olah and Stephen Raymond), an additional four delegates are sponsored to attend. They are Bert Brand (Region North), Vern Dunning (Region South), Jennine Kingston (Region West) and Jim Smith (Region East).

VOLUNTEER LEADERSHIP PROGRAM (Australian Emergency Management Institute)
The next AEMI Volunteer Leadership Program is to be held at Mt Macedon 3-6 September 2010. The closing date for nominations is Friday 13 August. If the program is not filled by 13 August, an additional call for nominations may be made.
