Volunteers' Family Day
The Volunteers’ Family Day forms part of the Association’s commitment to foster and support the volunteers and staff of the NSW Rural Fire Service.
Proven to be a popular and successful initiative, The Volunteers’ Family Day is an event enjoyed by Members and enthusiastic attendance has witnessed growth at each Volunteers’ Family Day with the largest event to date held in Cessnock in July 2014 and attended by over 300 Members.
In 2015 events were held in Walgett, Holbrook and Coramba
The day serves to acknowledge the important role Members and their families play at the core of the emergency services and to say thank-you for the work they do protecting the community.
Along with lunch, activities for the kids and entertainment, the NSW RFSA mobile shop is in attendance so those who cannot make it to Penrith have the opportunity to see and purchase clothing and merchandise. Membership Services is also there to ensure all registered Members details are up to date and to promote the services of the Association.
