NSW Rural Fire Service Association expresses concerns about Wambelong fire report
Friday, 20 February 2015
The NSW Rural Fire Service Association (RFSA) has expressed disappointment at some of the recommendations made within the Legislative Council’s report into the Wambelong fire near Coonabarabran.
The fire broke out in the Warrumbungle National Park destroying 56 homes as well as causing large scale agricultural losses on the 13th January 2013.
President of the RFSA Tim Arnott said the RFSA was disappointed with some of the 29 recommendations made within the final report and refutes any suggestion that volunteers do not have adequate representation in government decision making about bushfire prevention and management.
