The NSW RFSA Grant Scheme is one of the Association's most admired and popular assistance programs and has benefitted numerous NSW RFS Brigades and Districts over many years.
Acknowledgment and appreciation is expressed to the people of NSW who support the NSW RFSA fundraising raffles and, in turn, assist in making the Grant Scheme possible.
The NSW RFSA Grant Scheme is established to assist NSW RFS Brigades and Districts in their endeavour to improve the level of equipment, training and welfare of their members; or, to provide an overall community benefit, consistent with NSW RFSA & NSW RFS Policy or operational plans adopted for the NSW RFS District.
All NSW RFS Brigades (RFB) (individually or collectively) and Districts are eligible to apply for a Grant.
Grants sums will be limited to:
- BRIGADE GRANTS - items up to $5,000 (excl GST)
- SPECIAL GRANTS - items up to $25,000 (excl GST)
* BRIGADE GRANTS are available to individual Brigades. SPECIAL GRANTS are available to a number of Brigades collectively or to a District.
The NSW RFSA Grant Scheme is open to receive applications year round. Priority will be extended to applicants that have not received a NSW RFSA Grant within the previous three years.
All Grant applications must be submitted to the local RFSA Branch, which will then assess and review it before making recommendations to RFSA Divisional Representatives, with final determination being made by the RFSA Board. Refer to the Grant Scheme Process Flow Chart and RFSA Branch Contacts for submission procedure and contacts.
