Published in December 2010, each policy within the document is considered to be critical if the RFS is to maintain its present high standards in meeting the needs of Members and the expectations of the NSW community. Together, they form a road map for the future of NSW.

In releasing the policy document, the RFSA sought commitment from the NSW Government of the day (Labor) and the Opposition (Liberals-Nationals) to the recommendations contained therein in the lead up to the 2011 March State elections.
